RB,
This is a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing it.
I read your book. I think what you have done is chronicle another American tragedy: the truth of that tragedy. We didn’t lose “John John”; we lost John F. Kennedy, Jr., a man who might have gone into politics, and who, had he done so, would most definitely have made a difference. That is an enormous loss to this nation. I wish we could hit “reset” and tell Kennedy that he did not have to contribute to a legacy that seems to be driven by an almost insatiable appetite for Kennedy tragedy and myth. I know that he did not consciously do that. It just seems that he did it anyway, somehow.
In the book you say: “I stood in front of John’s office. I remembered him there, smiling and laughing, his father gazing out from one wall, his wife smiling down from another, his mother an invisible but constant presence. I whispered good-bye and thank you. John was a big one for thank-you notes. Maybe one day, I thought, I’ll try to write you a proper one.”
You have. Thank you for writing this book so that we have something left of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr., that is real, warm, and human, and not myth.

I really like the low key beat and vibe.
