King also argued that the U.S. should not grant citizenship to millions of Latinos living in the U.S. because the new citizens would then drive up the cost of low-wage labor.

Wait, I thought immigrants drove down the cost of low-wage labor? Or has he so totally made his peace with the presence of an undocumented workforce that he would begrudge them the modicum of bargaining power that citizenship would bring? As in, he doesn’t actually want to “send them all home”? This may be as close as he’ll come to admitting that…
