“All the Students at Harvard Are Quite Special”

…says Larry Summers about two minutes in to this video.
Except the ones he calls “assholes.”
Anyway!
I like Chrystia Freeland. She’s smart and funny and kind of a hottie. But does she have to stick her head quite so far up Larry Summers’ rear end?

Some Dartmouth students are special as well, just not special in the right way.

Did the Beattie Family really have this “conversation with Larry Summers” in mind when they endowed the lectureship? I assumed that a lecture was a prepared talk, and one deemed to be crafted for the occasion. This conversation is nothing more than answering some (presumably pre-arranged) questions-with answers that are easily available on YouTube, if you want to hear Larry Summers saying the same thing (eg, how the styles of Obama and Clinton differ) over and over.

That Dartmouth story is horrifying. I wonder if it will change anything.

Why is Kim leaving? Obviously he was chosen as head of the World Bank. But what is the real story?

And some ‘special’ people like to speak by proxy…

Here is a way to track the World Bank race. Not self evident that Kim will get the job. Would Larry say ‘All the Darmouth Presidents are quite special’?
