The biggest change (and one that is worthy of a good article) is the increase in tuition to the upper middle class (income 150K or so) That will ultimately lead to elite colleges with student populations that show the same “double hump”income distribution that you now see in private boarding schools: attendance among the v rich (price no object) and those with incomes less than 120K (heavily subsidized) but relative underrepresentation of the upper middle (professional classes)
