You just know something like that will not turn out right.

It was supposed to be “2011 Red Sox will Challenge 1978 Red Sox for Title of Biggest Chokers Ever,” but was altered at the Copy Desk.

It’s unkind, I know, but F@#$ These Guys. This does feel normal to me.

That’s a good take on it. It helps not to have known the sport as a kid. I got hooked on the 1975 Red Sox, in grad school in Ann Arbor, before I stepped foot in MA. So I’m way over it, and now rooting for the All Blacks, whom I did go to see with my dad back in the day, who thrashed France last weekend and are looking very good.

Also Jackie McMullen has it right. And I think there should be an automatic fine for any player who stands in the batters box after hitting a fly ball, which goes up by 10x if the ball bounces off the left field wall.

Re: F@#$ These Guys-Interesting take, but has racism in Fenway really subsided, as the article suggests? Last time I was there, Tiant was pitching, but I still find it hard to believe.
