More Power to Her

After having called Hillary Clinton a “monster,” Kennedy School prof Samantha Power is now joining the Clinton State Department.
(Wouldn’t you like to be a fly on that wall?)
Well, if Barack Obama and Clinton can heal their divisions, Clinton and Power certainly ought to be able to. And Samantha’s voice (she’s a friend of mine) is too important to be left out of foreign policymaking because of one impetuous comment….

You mistake the rationale, Anon. It’s not to namedrop, but to disclose a possible bias. Standard journalistic practice. If you don’t understand, imagine how upset you’d be if you were reading something positive I wrote about Sam, and then you later found out that she and I are friendly and I hadn’t mentioned it….
