Hey, the first issue of 02138 magazine appears to be out, or at least online. Love the cover….
Of course, I wrote something for the first ish, so I have to say that, right? But actually, I do love the cover. She’s sexy, it’s an irreverent image, and the design looks good.
My piece on the Harvard Corporation is available online, but you have to start a subscription to read it. Go aheadâyou can always cancel after you get a free first issue in the mail.
I can promise you, you will learn things about the Harvard Corporationâand its handling of the Larry Summers situationâthat you didn’t know before…

Won’t I, as an alum, simply receive it in the mail? Isn’t that my due?

Can’t wait for a report of the 02138 launch party…you are related to David Bradley?

Nope, I think you have to buy it….
And no, I’m no relation to David Bradley that I know of….

Is that chick on the cover an alum? Do you not find it sexist? Why do we go to Harvard, if the aim is to perpetuate all the same materialistic/mysogynistic/sexist prejudices and misbehavior that’s been going on since time immemorial. I suppose if there are models at the launch party it won’t really matter.

If I can reverse the Spinal Tap equation, no, I don’t think it’s sexist, I think it’s sexy. Unless you consider that any appeal to sex is inherently sexist, I don’t see the problem here. Now, maybe next time they should put a hunky guy on the cover to even things out. But no, I’m not particularly bothered by it—especially since the idea, such as it is, is to show a contrary image to the old white guy stereotype of Harvard.

Lick my love pump.

You know, I actually think this cover exhibits a subtle anti-sexist genius. Here you have the necktie, a towering male institution founded upon the symbology of an arrow pointed at the penis. Here, we have no penis (I’m hoping). Hence, the death of sexism.

Women wearing men’s clothes, lets see — nope, never been done before. You’re right: sexism is now dead.

Oh pull your head out of your pursed, hypercritical feminist ass and have a laugh for once.

Isn’t that one of Larry’s ties?

It can’t be — there’s no food on it.
