What’s Wrong with This Picture?

(Which comes from the New York Times, by the way.)
It’s not that Yankee pitcher Hideki Kuroda is on the verge of getting shellacked/injured by the Boston Red Sox.
It’s that it’s the first or second inning of the Yankees’ second home game (Kuroda was gone before the 3rd) against arch-rival Boston…and there are tons of empty seats behind the third-base dugout.
For us Yankee fans, this is going to be a long season…..

But those $1,000+ boxes are often empty-corporate boxes and rich folks’ toys. Cold weather not on their agenda.

It’s true, they are, and that’s a huge problem for the Yankees. But attendance is going to be a real issue for them this year, and I think it’s a bit early to see all those seats going empty against the Red Sox…

Attendance, starting pitching, and medical bills probably their top three problems, not necessarily in that order.
