  What's Wrong with the Donald?

Anyone else notice that Donald Rumsfeld looked like he had aged substantially since the last time we saw him when he testified before Congress yesterday?

Rumsfeld always looked vigorous and healthy in the past; yesterday, for the first time, he looked like an old man.

Comments:
That shot looks like an advertisement for Deer Park water. What's he going to be drinking after global warming destroys the freshwater sources we rely on?

It's a known-known that when war criminals hang up their spurs, or screws, that they age almost overnight. Why do you think Gonzalez hangs on so desperately at Justice?

Who knew the secret to keeping young, hale and hearty is to invade countries and torture people?

Richard, since you get such glee out of mocking the NYT and claiming your scoops, I can't resist -- the NYT story Thurs. am on Rumsfield's testimony noted that he looked frailer than usual. I guess they noticed before you did. Gosh, as Rummy would say.

Golly, actually, he says best. May he rot in hell.

9:09—I can live with the fact of being scooped by a newspaper with several hundred reporters. Good for the Times!

Rot in hell? What sensationalist clap trap. Rummy just needs to be patient and hook up with Errol Morris for a confessional retrospective - it worked for McNamara.

Did it work for McNamara? I'm not so sure. He still hedged and dodged when Morris pushed him about his own responsibility, and I don't think the film absolved him by any means.
