  More Dolphin News
In the Black Sea, about thirty yards from shore, a drunk Ukrainian was attacked by a pair of dolphins who tried to push the man out to sea.

No, really.

And you thought dolphins were always warm and fuzzy.....

Comments:
The Black Sea Dolphin is a sub-species with more genetic ties to the killer whale genus than to the "Flipper" dolphin we are used to. The article speculates that the dolphins likely saw the drunken man as a competitor for the fish they were after, but a more likely explanation is that they saw him as food and were pack hunting. This type of behavior is unique to the Black Sea dolphin and very intriguing on a number of levels. At Harvard we have an ongoing research project looking at this fascinating animal.

Fascinating; I didn't know that. Any place I (and others) can turn to to find more info about the project?

Not yet published. Seawatch.org.uk is a source of information generally.
