But Greg never said there was anything wrong with getting rich, so long as you didn't steal it. Paul Krugman, on the other hand, goes crazy about the top 1% in every other column. That group includes everyone with a bit more than $300,000 a year. Could anyone really think Krugman doesn't make more than that? Rich people in fancy glass houses shouldn't throw cow dung.
Krugman may not make more than that, depending on the Times' ethics rules--for example, he may be prohibited from accepting speaking fees. So you've got book advances/royalties and his Times salary.
