Ideology should not supercede grammar. (Though that, of course, is an ideology in itself.)
Anyway, I seem to recall on this blog calling Rudy Giuliani "the worst person in the world," so that sort of tells you where I stand on the fascist from New York.
Right, 11:50. though her amanuensis might have punctuated more correctly. Speaking of fascists, here's a good response to Jonah Goldberg and his Liberal Fascism absurdity:

Federer just lost the first set to Serb Tipsarevic!
Speaking of Fascists, and history's lessons, here's composer Hanns Eisler about to be deported by a certain McCarthy:
"I listened to … the questions of these men and I saw their faces. As an old anti-fascist it became plain to me that these men represent fascism in its most direct form … but I take with me the image of the real American people whom I love."
And off he went into exile. All they would call him would be "deportee". Billy Bragg has a good arrangement and rendition of "Eisler on the Go", (lyrics by the dying Woodie Guthrie) on his (Bragg's) album "Mermaid Avenue".
