Yeah, and why doesn't he raise his arms when he celebrates, like a real politician? Oh yeah, because he was beaten and bound for five years and can't get his arms above his shoulders. I'd say he looks pretty good for a guy who went through that, which probably would age one a bit, don't you think?
 

Well, Dude IS old. I'm sure everyone knows this by now, but if elected at 72!, he'll be the oldest elected president of the united states. The oldest elected president now is Ronald Reagan at age 69.

Hey, 2:06, no one's saying the guy isn't courageous as all get out. I've read McCain's bio and it's an amazing and inspiring story.

But if age and health are an issue, which for McCain they are (and frankly, probably should be), no harm in doing what you can, even if it's cosmetic, right?
 

Hey eayny, if you want to bring up the Reagan standard, maybe the older the better. Whatever you think of him, we've certainly done worse. How many younger presidents had the opportunity to tell the Soviet premier to tear down the Berlin Wall, and didn't do it?

"Age" and "health" are not "an" issue. Health is an issue for all the candidates.By all means, let's make sure no one has cancer or a history of depression, or lacks stamina. Age shouldn't be, once health is taken out of consideration. But Rich may just be talking about electability, rather than competence. Even there, though, Romney's whitening strips haven't helped him much, it seems.
 

Blah blah blah. The point is, no Republican allows us to repudiate the Bush legacy. Least of all a Republican who has voted in lockstep with the Bush agenda almost all the time in the Senate, especially in matters of overseas killing.

If I'm the liberal media, you conservatives don't have too much to worry about.

But let's consider that claim. McCain would, at 72, be the oldest president elected. He's had cancer. And his body has obviously taken a terrible amount of abuse over the years.

And it's partisan bias to think that his age might be of concern?
 

McCain is the nominee. Huckabee will be the running mate. Romney knows he is gone. Kids wont let him spend anymore of their inheritance.

Hillary has more delagates that Obama. Edwards could release his delegates if Obama proves he can take her on and McCain without Kennedy defending him. Hell if he cant beat Bill can he really take on all the republicans?

Even with all of Edwards delegates Obama still trails Hillary and that is before super duper Tuesday.

So, Mac versus Hillary and neither base in the R's of D's will like it. What's old is new and it becomes a matter of who sucks less.
