  HMC's New Boss
Harvard has picked a temporary head for the Harvard Management Company. His name is Robert Kaplan, and he's ex- of Goldman Sachs and a current HBS professor.

Will Kaplan be the permanent head of HMC? Well, the advantage of keeping him on is that, having been at Harvard for some time, and as a graduate of the college, he would be inclined to feel some institutional loyalty that Mohamed El-Erian clearly did not....

Richard it looks like you linked to the wrong Robert Kaplan at HBS. You might want to change that.

It is a good thing that Harvard has chosen someone with loyalty like Kaplan to run HMC.

Too many Harvard College graduates seem to lack this quality. Is the implication of Professor Matory that black faculty at Harvard are not free to speak? or only that they are not free to speak on certain subjects?
