Quote of the Day
“We’re not going to give up. We’re just going to go, play the game and move on. If it doesn’t happen, so who cares? It’s always next year. It’s not like the end of the world.”
It does sound bad, no doubt, but that attitude might be better for hitting. A-Rod goes out there and you can imagine him muttering his dismal playoff stats under his breath - the guy never looked loose, like he was dropping diamonds in the toilet. Not sure I've ever seen Manny looked stressed.
“We go, play hard and if things don’t come like they’re supposed to come, we move on,” Ramírez said. “We play next year.”
It's a game in other words. Maybe I'm just preparing myself for what may come tomorrow or after and before Sox win Game 7, but there is real and rare wisdom here.
Surely better than the "I'm going to go out there and give 110%" bilge.
Go Manny, and GO SOX!

Well, you certainly can't argue with the guy's hitting.
