  An October Gem?
Tim Marchman in the Sun thinks this World Series has all the makings of a baseball classic.

Meanwhile, two depressed Yankee fans I know think the Sox will sweep.... As one put it, Josh Beckett=two automatic wins, meaning that the Rockies would have to win four of five otherwise.....

The same depressed Yankee fans also think that the Sox might have the makings of a dynasty here......

Exactly, 5:21, and same with Pedroia's cuteness, Manny's whacked out and healthy perspective, Ellsberry's whatever, Beckett's cool, etc., etc. We have miles to go before we look anything like those automata Jeter, A-Rod, the closely cropped and duller Damon. GO SOX!

Of course, 9:53, but that's a different point. As to that point NONE of the many Sox fans in my orbit is as confident as the London bookies (2-1 for Sox, last time I checked), or as those outside the Nation who mistake enthusiasm for confidence. GO SOX!
