  The Yankees Take Two!
The Yankees Take Two!

Thank God for the Rangers....and in a doubleheader, Yankee pitchers gave up only five runs, which is about what they gave up in a good inning against the Sox.

Granted, the Sox are a far better team than Texas. Still, this does suggest that the Yankee pitching is finally starting to improve...

...except, of course, for Carl Pavano, who appears to be out for the season.

Comments:
When I clicked on the Carl Pavano link, I got an advertisement for what appears to be a CD entitled "Song from Ally McBeal". Richard, I had no idea your musical tastes were so broad!

They just seemed to me to share the same sensitive aesthetic.

It happens every year. As soon as the articles appear announcing the death of the Yankee dynasty, and they have no chance at all this year, and when will Torre be fired, etc, etc, etc. That's when they turn things around. Two weeks from now (maybe less) they'll be battling the Sox for first and that's the way the rest of the season will flow.

Gee I'm really sorry to see Pavano out for the season. What a bust. Let's hope he's out of baseball, period.
